This Christmas has been really simple for me. No scrumptious dinners with fancy holiday dinnerware, no expensive gifts or clothes. Christmas was spent at home with just me, my Bubby and little Sanjo. Christmas dinner consisted of chicken teriyaki and spaghetti with white sauce courtesy of yours truly. I’m not complaining, I know there are lots of people who are homeless and starving even on Christmas Eve. But I do have plans for next year, which I hope will work out for me and my family.
I plan on moving out of my in-laws’ house around July or August next year, so that we can have a place of our own. We are able to save on rent and all that while we’re living here, but it’s not entirely ours, and I would really want to have our own place so I can do stuff I can’t here.
I don’t know if you guys have “visions” of your plans or if you imagine how you’d like things to be, but I do. I still have to carefully lay out all my plans, but for starters, and for motivation and inspiration, I imagine what I want for next Christmas. It will still be simple, but with a little touch of Christmas spirit.
Speaking of Christmas spirit, I know it doesn’t have to be anything fancy or expensive. The right dinnerware definitely help set the mood for a little holiday spirit. I have seen a couple of really nice holiday-themed dinnerware and
silver flatware that can go along with the whole set. Pflatzgraff is a site that has a lot of holiday dinner tabletop ideas and products. There’s so many to choose from, I think I want it to be Christmas the whole year round!

This is the second Christmas that I did not get to spend with my family, although I have no qualms that I spent it with my in-laws. Me and my bubby together with little Sanjo went to Makati to visit my bubby’s grandparents’ house. Yes, both of them are still alive and well. So little Sanjo is really lucky because not everyone gets to see their grandparents, let alone their great grandparents. Everyone was just so happy. Almost all of my bubby’s relatives live on the same street, so it was easy to move around and visit everyone. My bubby’s ninang (godmother) gave Sanjo a little Barney toy lappy. I kept it so that he can use it when he can appreciate and know how to play with it since I don’t think it’s appropriate for him at this stage. My bubby’s aunt also brought us to Cash and Carry, and her gift was really practical. She asked me to pick out Sanjo’s milk, diapers, and cereals. I so love it because it saved me 2 weeks’ worth of budget for Sanjo. Which means I don’t have to panic come January. I can stick with my plan of trying to hit my goal of $50 per week. LOL.
Sorry I have not updated this site or bloghopped for the past week. So busy building my new blogs. I promise though that I will start bloghopping come January 1st.
Please bear with me guys!

My wish this Christmas is a big new bathroom complete with a big whirlpool bath! Just kidding! My Bubby’s dad is an engineer, and there’s this huge house that he’s helping his friend build at the moment, and it’s absolutely wonderful. The house is super huge. I wouldn’t even call it a house the way it’s all big and being glammed up. It’s more like a mansion. The rooms are all so spacious, and even the bathrooms are amazing. I have seen the blueprints and the designs, and I simply fell in love with the master bedroom. It’s a suite, with a small sitting area, king sized bed, and a balcony. But that’s not the highlight of it. The best part is actually the bath. It has a shower, a his and hers set of toilet set, a his and hers set of sinks, and a magnificent whirlpool bath and a sauna. I am in awe. In fact, if I had a bathroom that beautiful, I would probably just spend the whole day in the bathroom primping. Or just spend the whole day relaxing in the warm waters of the tub and just laze the day away. I wish!
Ah, the glamourous life of the rich and famous. Or just the rich. Huge houses, flashy cars, beautiful gardens, swimming pools, Jacuzzis,
Whirlpoolbaths, and primped up pets. Who does not want to live that kind of life?
