Moving out very soon

My Bubby JC and I are moving out to our own place very soon. In 18 days to be very specific. He will arrive here in Zamboanga City on July 19, and by then, we’ll be staying in what used to be my cousin and her husband’s apartment. I can’t wait. Most of the stuff my mom gave us are already there, including the bed, tables, chairs, etc. And the air conditioner I bought is already installed in our room as well. I just need to save up for a nice wide screen TV for me and the hubby, and make sure to buy one of those plasma mounts so as to maximize the space in our bedroom. The maid’s room will be divided so that half of it will be turned into Sanjo’s playroom. So yes, I need to buy rubber mats so he can crawl. I will be posting pictures as soon as we transfer, but I can’t help but be excited.

No more blackouts

For the past few weeks, just following the end of the election period, the blackouts finally stopped. We do get the occasional blackout for an hour or two, but this happened for only once or twice since after the elections. I guess there is no need to buy emergency lamps or rechargeable lanterns. I did go ahead and buy Globe Tattoo and Smart Bro broadband kits so that I have a backup internet connection should I still not be able to get a DSL line. I had my cousin look into it for me. It may cost me about $120 to get done, but heck, I need DSL for work, and I won’t settle for anything less. If $120 is the cost to get it, as long it gets done and everything gets installed properly, I won’t complain any longer. I am still fuming though, but I am quite happy that we no longer experience blackouts.

Not so productive

I know I should be writing about malignant Mesothelioma just about now, but the truth is, my brain seems to have stopped functioning. What with a thousand things in my mind, I can’t seem to focus and compose the posts that I should be writing, and the blogsversary contest that me and Sansan have in mind. It’s the middle of June and we have a couple of weeks left to finalize the contest mechanics. And yet here I am, staring in front of my screen and waiting for my dishes to finish cooking. Cooking where? In Cafe World of course! What can I say? I am hooked!

The picture below is my cafeteria using Sab’s Facebook account. And yes, I have another cafeteria in Sanjo’s Facebook account too! I’ll post those tomorrow.
