Christmas is coming?

I can’t believe that it’s past the middle of August already. After a couple of week, it’s going to be the start of the “ber” months (September, October, November and December). Starting the “ber” months means that Christmas is coming soon.

Some people I know start their Christmas shopping during September, to give them ample time to pick gifts, and to avoid the Christmas rush. I think this is a wise practice, and although I’m not doing my Christmas shopping next month, I’m hoping to be able to do it by November if we get to go to Davao City. That would be exciting. I haven’t been to a real mall in ages. I bet that by then, the malls would be in full Christmas gear and decorated with wreaths and trees adorned with mini led christmas lights. Exciting!

Time to Change

Change of work schedule and work attitude that is. I have been procrastinating for the past few weeks, and frankly, I’m not happy with that. After my DSL connection was down for almost a week, I was too swamped with work that I just..bailed.

So starting this week, I have to keep up with what I missed, and I have to start blogging again. I know there’s a lot of work that needs to get done, but again, they NEED to get done. So I have to wake up and stop playing Facebook games. LOL.

I can’t wait to start blogging again. With a couple of new blogs to start writing in, there’s no time better than now to get started. :)

Flooring ideas

Our new place has cemented floors, which isn’t that bad, but considering that I have a one-year-old son doesn’t really make it that child-friendly. I was thinking of getting the floors covered with rubber puzzles, except the floors in the living room and our room. I went to the local hardware store to look at the different flooring options and to see if they have those kiddie puzzle mats available, but what caught my eye was the discount laminate flooring that they offered. It’s not really practical to change our flooring at the moment since we are just renting, but it would be nice to have shiny wooden floors once we have our own house.
